Role Overview
As a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer, you will deliver client-specific extensions, integrations and reporting for implementation programmes. Your work will help finance and supply chain teams use systems tailored to their processes, while keeping custom code maintainable and ready for platform updates; the focus is on client delivery rather than developing ISV products.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain X++ extensions and customizations for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Create integrations using data entities and services, connecting F&O with banks, tax authorities and other business systems.
- Develop SSRS reports that support finance and operational requirements, including use after go-live.
- Configure Electronic Reporting outputs for statutory, banking and trading-partner formats.
- Organize models and deployable packages to support safe upgrades and reliable releases.
- Assess the effect of platform update waves, coordinate regression testing and address issues found during validation.
- Work with Finance and Supply Chain consultants to turn agreed functional designs into working technical solutions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hands-on X++ development experience on a live Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment, or on an AX 2012 upgrade that reached production.
- Evidence of delivering customizations and extensions, rather than working solely on configuration.
- Experience developing SSRS reports for F&O or AX.
- Practical knowledge of F&O models, extensions and deployable packages.
- Electronic Reporting configuration, MB-500 certification or equivalent, DMF, dual-write, Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps pipeline experience are beneficial.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Europe is an advantage.
