Direct Sales Representative

Role Overview

As a frontline banking sales professional, you will connect with prospective customers, help them understand suitable bank products, and guide them from initial inquiry through application submission. Your work directly supports branch and retail sales targets by generating quality leads, ensuring application accuracy, and keeping customer documents secure. You will also act as a feedback link between customers and bank leadership, helping improve products and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a pipeline of prospective customers through referrals, cross-selling, bank-organized sales activations, and leads supplied by the bank.
• Meet with customers to explain product features clearly and fairly, ensuring they understand what they are applying for.
• Assist customers in completing application forms for the products they choose.
• Check completed applications and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission.
• Verify customer identity by comparing original documents, such as a national identification card or passport, with photocopies provided.
• Send signed and completed applications to the relevant Sales Manager or Retail Support Team within 24 hours of customer sign-off.
• Identify opportunities to introduce customers to other bank products that fit their needs.
• Safeguard customer documents under your care, escalate complaints or feedback to the Sales or Branch Manager, and provide regular sales and market insight reports to leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
• Minimum KCSE mean grade of C- (minus).
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated passion for and commitment to quality customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet demanding targets within set deadlines.
• Sales or client relationship management experience is an added advantage.
