Role Overview
This is a field-based revenue role: most of your week is spent in the market signing up new subscribers, keeping existing ones connected, and making sure every activation stands up to the company's compliance and service standards. Because growth depends on both volume and quality, you'll pair hands-on selling with accurate paperwork, quick customer problem-solving, and clear reporting back to your line manager. Done well, the job directly expands the customer base, protects revenue from failed or noncompliant accounts, and feeds real market feedback into decisions about products and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new subscribers through outdoor and on-ground selling, walking each customer through KYC checks, contract documentation, and a clear explanation of what they have signed up for.
- Work with line management to shape, launch, and track sales campaigns, then monitor how well acquisition and onboarding are meeting agreed service-level timeframes.
- Recover devices and equipment from customers whose accounts fall outside compliance or contractual terms.
- Handle first-line troubleshooting for customers — resolving common service and connectivity problems yourself and routing anything beyond that scope to the correct escalation channel.
- Compile daily achievement against target and analyse monthly market trends to show where performance is gaining or slipping.
- Build and maintain weekly performance dashboards, plus ad-hoc reports requested by management.
- Watch competitor pricing, promotions, and product moves, and turn customer feedback into suggestions for new offers or service improvements.
- Plan and run on-ground activation events such as roadshows, estate drives, and mall campaigns to generate leads and visibility.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in business administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent practical background.
- At least one year in outdoor or field sales; telecom experience is preferred.
- A working understanding of telecom or fixed wireless market trends is an advantage.
- Commercial instinct — able to talk credibly about competitors, devices, packages, and commission structures.
- Comfortable with technology, including 5G and Fixed Wireless Services.
- Able to hold up under stretch targets and bounce back from rejection.
- Entrepreneurial approach: spots opportunities, takes ownership, and acts without waiting to be told.
- Performance-driven and organised, with the planning discipline to schedule a week's activity and keep records straight.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic in a customer-facing setting.
