Job Summary
As a Debt Collector, you will be responsible for contacting customers to recover outstanding debts, negotiating repayment plans, and maintaining accurate records of all collection activities. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of urgency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to negotiate payment of overdue accounts.
- Understand each debtor’s financial situation and propose realistic repayment plans.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection efforts and payment arrangements.
- Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and key performance indicators.
- Comply with company policies and legal regulations regarding debt collection.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve complex accounts and escalate issues when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in debt collection or a related field.
- Languages: Fluency in English, Arabic, and Hindi is required (verbal and written).
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets consistently.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Driving License: A valid UAE driving license is an advantage but not mandatory.
