Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Athi River. The core mission of this role is to transform raw information into organized, actionable data within our internal systems. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of digital records, ensuring that every entry is verified, standardized, and protected. Functional Deliverables

Information Processing & System Integrity

  • Input high volumes of data into spreadsheets, internal databases, and tracking systems with precision.

  • Execute regular data validation and "clean-up" tasks to remove duplicates, correct inconsistencies, and fill missing gaps.

  • Apply basic formulas and functions in Excel or Google Sheets to streamline data organization and calculation.

  • Update existing records continuously to ensure the database reflects the most current information available.

Quality Control & Verification

  • Conduct rigorous cross-checks between entered data and physical source documents to eliminate transcription errors.

  • Standardize data formats across different departments to ensure company-wide consistency.

  • Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies promptly, escalating complex issues to the relevant department heads.

  • Maintain a high speed of entry without compromising the integrity or quality of the datasets.

Administrative Support & Documentation

  • Organize digital filing systems and physical archives for quick retrieval and long-term storage.

  • Safeguard all sensitive company and client information, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.

  • Generate foundational reports and summaries from internal data to support management decision-making.

  • Assist various departments with ad-hoc data retrieval and analysis tasks as needed.

Requirements & Competencies

Professional Background

  • Education: Possession of a Diploma or Degree in any field from a recognized institution.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is mandatory.

  • Experience: Prior experience in data entry, clerical work, or administrative support is a significant added advantage.

  • Speed: Must demonstrate fast and accurate typing skills.
