Role Overview
You will take the lead on designing, building, and maintaining the data integration pipelines that support our entire International Health Delivery Services operation. Your work ensures that data from policy administration systems is consistently transformed, validated, and delivered to the many downstream applications, including web portals and internal and external integrations. In this senior role, you will combine hands-on development with architectural oversight, resolving complex SQL Server and ETL issues while helping set the standard for how the team builds and supports its solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the principal technical designer for large-scale data integration initiatives, translating business requirements into reliable ETL and data modelling solutions.
- Develop, document, and test SSIS packages and SQL Server objects, ensuring robust performance and maintainability.
- Investigate and resolve complex SQL Server issues, performing root cause analysis to restore and improve data flows across all environments.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define data mapping strategies and document the agreed approach.
- Own release support and monitoring of scheduled batch processes, proactively identifying failures and preventing disruption to downstream consumers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing code, tooling, and team practices, advocating for better ways of working.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other developers, acting as an internal subject matter expert for the wider data engineering community.
