A reputable organization in the Oil & Gas and Energy sector is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join its team in Dubai on a one-year contract. This role offers the potential to transition into a permanent position based on business requirements and individual performance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting due diligence, supporting governance initiatives, and managing compliance-related activities. Candidates with strong industry knowledge and experience in regulatory frameworks are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support regulatory compliance across business operations.
• Conduct KYC and customer due diligence processes.
• Perform AML and sanctions screening in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Monitor compliance activities and identify potential risks.
• Prepare compliance reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support governance, risk management, and internal compliance initiatives.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of compliance experience.
• Previous experience within the Oil & Gas or Energy industry is mandatory.
• Experience in commodities trading and/or shipping activities is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Know Your Customer (KYC)
• Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
• Sanctions compliance
• Regulatory compliance
