Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Officer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive clinical services, manage patient care, and contribute to the effective delivery of health services in a busy hospital setting. This role requires a strong background in clinical medicine, with particular expertise in managing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and advanced life support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
- Manage and follow up on patients with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular conditions.
- Provide emergency care including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adhere to regulatory standards and maintain valid licensure with the Clinical Officers Council.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Clinical Officers Council and must possess a valid practicing license.
- At least one (1) year post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
- Over one (1) year working experience in a busy health facility.
- Knowledge of non-communicable diseases (NCD) management is key.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Required Skills
