Role Overview
In this fleet tracking role, you will keep every connected vehicle visible, accountable, and moving to plan. You will turn live and historical tracking data into practical guidance for drivers, planners, and leadership, helping the operation avoid delays, misuse, and avoidable cost. The position sits at the intersection of technology, logistics, and security, so your daily decisions directly affect delivery reliability, fleet discipline, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep every tracking unit live and reporting; troubleshoot gaps and escalate device failures promptly.
- Watch real-time and historical GPS activity, documenting incidents and sharing findings with operations.
- Examine speed, routes, mileage, fuel usage, distance, and vehicle utilisation; recommend changes to schedules, usage patterns, or fleet policy.
- Help build fleet schedules and forecasts by studying current user and vehicle trends.
- Check driver compliance with company rules and raise breaches through the correct channels.
- Spot on-road exceptions or emergencies and coordinate with the Logistics Planner and security on diversions and recovery actions.
- Serve as the daily point of contact among drivers, operations, and management so deliveries match orders and instructions.
