Job Description

About the Role

  • We are looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Cargo Release Coordinator to join our client in shipping industry.
  • This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth release of cargo from vessels, coordinating with port authorities, and maintaining compliance with international shipping regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the timely release of cargo from vessels operated by the shipping line.
  • Verify and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, manifests, customs clearance, and delivery orders.
  • Liaise with port authorities, customs officials, freight forwarders, and consignees to ensure efficient cargo release.
  • Monitor vessel schedules and cargo discharge operations to align release activities with operational timelines.
  • Resolve documentation discrepancies or delays by coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo release status and report updates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping line policies, international trade regulations, and port procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Prior experience in shipping line operations, cargo handling, or logistics coordination is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, port operations, and customs procedures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict vessel deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and shipping/logistics management systems.
