Role Overview
This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and the software development team, ensuring that project outcomes align with operational needs and regulatory requirements. Day to day, you will examine existing workflows, document precise technical specifications, and facilitate clear communication so that every feature built solves a real business problem. Your work directly impacts the organization’s ability to deliver compliant, efficient software that meets both user expectations and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse current business processes within the project scope, create detailed process maps, and assess their effectiveness against regulatory and policy requirements.
- Engage with clients, end users, and project teams to capture, clarify, and document business needs, constraints, and objectives.
- Run structured requirement-gathering sessions to identify pain points, uncover unspoken expectations, and propose process improvements.
- Research internal and external regulations to ensure that developed systems comply with all relevant policies and can demonstrate conformance.
- Translate gathered requirements into clear, prioritised, and formal written documentation for the development team.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring both sides understand each other’s language and constraints.
- Identify gaps between current and desired processes, perform impact assessments for proposed changes, and recommend optimisation strategies.
- Define UAT scenarios and test cases with stakeholders, coordinate execution, and manage issue resolution between business users and developers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least one year of experience as a Business Analyst specifically within software development projects.
- Strong technical aptitude and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication ability, including presentation skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment with shifting priorities; able to anticipate next steps, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
- Demonstrated team player with the ability to think creatively, multitask, and step into a leadership role when needed.
- Entry‑level business analysis certifications (e.g., ECBA, CCBA) are a plus but not required.
