Job Description

Role Overview

The Bootcamp Trainer leads daily learning sessions, helping participants build digital skills through practical instruction, guided exercises, and real-world problem-solving. The role also supports learners beyond the classroom by tracking progress, providing individual coaching, and working with the Education Program Director to keep the Bootcamp running effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver daily Bootcamp sessions in line with the curriculum, schedule, and intended learning outcomes.
  • Use interactive teaching approaches that connect concepts with practical tasks and applied problem-solving.
  • Adjust session pace and instruction to support learners with varied backgrounds and learning needs.
  • Guide assistant trainers, facilitators, and peer mentors, and help them contribute effectively to the learning experience.
  • Run module activities and assessments, review learner work, and provide timely, useful feedback.
  • Track attendance, participation, and learning progress, identifying learners who may need additional guidance.
  • Offer weekly one-to-one coaching, encourage collaboration and peer learning, and respond promptly to learner concerns.
  • Coordinate with the Education Program Director, share regular progress updates, and recommend improvements to training content and delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Graduate of the Learning Lions Bootcamp Training Program.
  • Successful completion of the Training of Trainers (TTT) Program.
  • Experience as a Coach in at least two Mobile LEAP cohorts.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support students, Apprentices, and Coaches.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage learners and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective planning, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a changing training environment.
  • Collaborative, professional approach and commitment to youth empowerment and digital skills development.
