Role Overview
As a Recruiter based in Kenya, you’ll manage hiring activities from application review and initial interviews through assessment coordination and candidate updates. Working with hiring managers and a global Talent Acquisition team, you’ll help identify strong candidates for international clients, keep recruitment moving efficiently, and make the process clear and respectful for every applicant.
Key Responsibilities
- Review applications and select candidates for further consideration.
- Lead initial interviews to assess communication, role suitability, and potential.
- Administer and assess written exercises in line with established hiring criteria.
- Arrange interviews and keep candidates informed as they progress through the process.
- Provide timely outcomes, including considerate closure for candidates not selected.
- Record interview feedback and maintain accurate candidate information in internal tracking systems.
- Work with hiring managers to clarify recruitment needs and contribute to hiring projects.
- Recommend improvements to sourcing, recruitment workflows, and candidate experience, and support apprenticeship and other HR initiatives as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition; experience in a related industry is an advantage.
- Previous BPO experience is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English; additional languages are beneficial.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- A proactive, accountable, collaborative approach and a commitment to improving hiring outcomes.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, approximately 1 PM–10 PM East Africa Time, supporting Americas-based operations.
- A suitable remote setup: Windows 10 or later (32-bit) or a MacBook; Chromebook, Linux, and desktop computers are not supported. Minimum 8 GB RAM, Intel Core i5 or better, internet speeds of 40–50 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload, a wired headset, and a quiet workspace are required.
