- Drive revenue through proactive client meetings, tailored presentations, and compelling site inspections that showcase the venue’s capabilities.
- Oversee the full event lifecycle, from initial enquiry and proposal through to on-the-day coordination and post-event follow-up.
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales documentation, including proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and function diaries.
- Track revenue performance against targets, compiling reports that inform pricing decisions and sales strategies.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning by providing insights from the banqueting and conference pipeline.
- Nurture long-term client relationships, building a repeat-business network and proactively anticipating future event needs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field; a sales and marketing certification is a strong plus.
- At least two years of hands-on experience in hotel sales, banqueting, or events coordination, with a clear record of meeting revenue goals.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and the full Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Solid understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house hospitality operations, allowing for realistic planning and smooth execution.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to spot revenue opportunities and negotiate effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable presenting to clients and collaborating with culinary, operations, and service teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring contracts, billing, and event specifications are consistently accurate.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities as business needs evolve.
- Problem-solving mindset with the flexibility to adapt to last-minute client requests or operational changes.
