Role Overview
This role leads the commercial performance of a designated cluster of bank branches, taking ownership of how each branch sells deposit accounts, loans, and other banking products. You will coordinate multiple sales teams, set the pace for campaign execution, and ensure every branch understands its targets and the practical steps needed to reach them. By connecting branch activity with broader bank strategy, you help turn regional market potential into measurable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate bank-level sales targets into actionable plans for each branch in your hub, assigning clear ownership and monitoring progress against deposit, loan, and fee income goals.
- Review market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify untapped opportunities, then guide branch managers on where to focus their sales efforts.
- Coordinate bank-wide sales campaigns across your hub, adapting national messaging to local conditions and tracking each branch’s contribution to campaign results.
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and lead management system, reviewing every stage from prospect identification to conversion so that no opportunity is lost or left to chance.
- Work with branch teams to improve the customer journey, streamline service processes, and reduce inefficiencies that slow down sales and frustrate clients.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with branch managers, using data to diagnose shortfalls and agree on corrective actions before targets slip further.
- Identify skill gaps in selling, negotiation, and customer engagement, then coordinate targeted training with the Head of Sales Coordination to raise team capability.
- Keep sales motivation high across the hub through coaching, recognition, and clear communication of how individual effort contributes to the bank’s bottom line.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least five years of banking experience, with no fewer than four years spent in sales and sales management roles within a bank or financial services environment.
- A university degree in a business-related discipline such as commerce, finance, economics, or marketing, combined with more than four years of practical banking experience.
- Deep working knowledge of business banking, retail banking products, lending principles, and the regulatory landscape governing financial services today.
- Proven ability to lead multiple branch teams, manage diverse stakeholders, and drive consistent sales performance through clear targets and accountability.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data, market intelligence, and branch-level performance metrics to support decision making.
