Role Overview
You will be responsible for building and managing a steady pipeline of B2B leads—targeting fleet operators, logistics companies, delivery platforms, and other high-volume vehicle users—while guiding each prospect from initial discovery through to signed agreement and smooth onboarding. Your work directly powers the company’s shift to electric mobility by converting petrol-dependent fleets to a PAYG financing model, reducing their operating costs and environmental impact. Day-to-day, you split your time between field meetings, CRM follow-ups, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure every closed deal transitions seamlessly to long-term client success.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full B2B sales cycle from lead sourcing to contract close: maintain a qualified pipeline of at least 100 active leads monthly, sourced from logistics hubs, delivery platforms, corporate fleet managers, ride-hailing operators, NGOs, and SACCOs, with all activity logged accurately in the CRM.
- Conduct discovery meetings with decision-makers to understand each client’s fleet composition, cost structure, and procurement process; then present the company’s electric motorcycle proposition—including PAYG financing terms, total-cost-of-ownership comparisons, embedded insurance, and remote asset monitoring.
- Prepare tailored financing proposals covering fleet size, deposit terms, payment schedules, service-level commitments, and onboarding timelines; manage multi-stakeholder approvals across procurement, finance, and operations departments.
- Close confirmed sales and coordinate full client onboarding: rider training, motorcycle handover, PAYG account activation, and first-payment confirmation.
- Hand over each closed account to the Customer Success team with a detailed briefing, ensuring continuity of relationship and no drop in service quality.
- Gather competitive intelligence on pricing, financing terms, and product features from other electric mobility players; feed market insights back to the Commercial and Product teams to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with Telesales, Field Marketing, and Customer Success teams to manage B2B and B2C lead flows in shared territories; represent the company at industry events and fleet operator forums.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of B2B sales experience with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue targets.
- Experience selling to fleet operators, logistics companies, delivery platforms, corporate clients, or financial services environments that require managing complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Strong pipeline management discipline: accurate CRM records, reliable forecasting, and a professional approach to owning a pipeline from sourcing to close.
- Excellent consultative communication skills—able to pivot seamlessly between conversations with procurement managers, CFOs, and operations leads.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- A valid driving licence and comfort working independently in the field with significant autonomy.
- Nice to have: experience in electric mobility, clean energy, asset financing, or PAYG products; familiarity with boda boda or last-mile delivery economics; an existing network among fleet operators, logistics SMEs, or ride-hailing platforms in Kenya; understanding of mobile money–based payment models.
