Role Overview
You will join the Capital Markets Products and Solutions (CMPS) team to drive wealth management growth within the SME segment. Your focus is on helping Treasury Sales build a loyal client base by promoting FX, fixed income, and wealth lending products to business decision-makers. This role directly contributes to the bank’s financial targets, so your ability to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver tailored solutions is essential to the team’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SME clients in fulfilling their CMPS product requirements, from initial inquiry through execution and post-trade servicing.
- Work alongside the Treasury Sales team to build strong relationships with key SME decision-makers, turning one-off transactions into long-term, loyal client partnerships.
- Promote cross-selling of FX, fixed income, and wealth lending products by collaborating with segmental product managers on campaign rollouts, incentive structures, and training support.
- Contribute ideas and market insights to new product development initiatives tailored specifically for retail banking and SME needs.
- Deliver market and product updates to clients through virtual calls, face-to-face meetings, and presentations, recommending financial solutions that match their objectives.
- Prepare portfolio performance reviews alongside the relationship team, identifying opportunities to deepen wallet share and expand the client’s product usage.
- Handle multi-asset class requirements across fixed income, FX, and other capital markets instruments, ensuring clients receive a well-rounded service.
- Drive the performance and productivity of SME fixed income and FX products, with a particular focus on generating new-to-product and new-to-investment business.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of market trends, capital markets products, and operational processes relevant to SME wealth management.
- Proven ability in relationship management and client pitching, with experience presenting to and influencing business decision-makers.
- Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks, conduct requirements, and suitability obligations when recommending investment and lending solutions.
- Experience in business partnering, ideally collaborating with segment product managers and sales teams to achieve shared revenue goals.
- Excellent PC and application skills, including the ability to produce clear client presentations, portfolio analyses, and market reports.
- Deep understanding of foreign exchange and bond market movements, with the ability to interpret these for client portfolios.
- Capable of working quickly and accurately under pressure, managing multiple client needs and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a professional and polished approach when representing the bank.
- Good analytical skills, allowing you to assess client portfolios, spot cross-selling opportunities, and provide sound financial recommendations.
- Overall understanding of wealth products and solutions, including how they interact with lending, investments, and risk management.
- A minimum university degree is required; CISI or ACI certifications are considered an added advantage.
