Job Description

Role Overview

This position anchors the daily flow of goods through our stores operation, making sure every delivery is checked, logged, and safely put away before it is needed on the front line. You will be the person the kitchen and service teams rely on to have the right stock available at the right time, while keeping wastage, shrinkage, and documentation errors to a minimum. By maintaining disciplined storage and accurate records, you protect both the quality of our products and the profitability of the whole operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all incoming deliveries with care: verify quantities against purchase orders, inspect items for damage or quality issues, and record receipts promptly in the inventory system.
  • Organize the storeroom so every item has a logical home, using proper labelling, rotation of perishable stock, and adherence to hygiene and temperature guidelines.
  • Issue goods to internal departments only against approved requisition documents, updating stock records immediately after each transaction.
  • Track stock levels continuously and flag items approaching reorder points so replenishment happens before shortages affect operations.
  • Support periodic stock counts and cycle counts, investigating discrepancies between physical counts and system balances, and reporting any variances clearly.
  • Maintain all stores documentation, including delivery notes, issue vouchers, and adjustment forms, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Apply Food & Beverage control principles to every aspect of storage and issue, including portion control awareness, minimizing waste, and protecting against unauthorized access to stock.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing team and receiving staff to resolve delivery shortfalls, damaged goods, or quality rejections in a timely manner.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of a completed Ordinary Level (O Level) certificate; a Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management or Stores Management is strongly preferred.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in a stores or warehouse operations role, ideally within a hospitality, catering, or food service environment.
  • Solid understanding of receiving, storage, issuing, and stock control procedures, with the ability to apply them consistently under pressure.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory management systems; experience with an MC (management control) system is a clear advantage.
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including the ability to reconcile simple stock movements and spot numerical discrepancies, is a plus.
  • Awareness of Food & Beverage control fundamentals, including stock rotation, portioning, and minimizing spoilage.
  • Trustworthiness and a high level of personal integrity, with a track record of handling stock responsibly and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication and teamwork skills, and the professionalism to remain calm and organized during busy receiving periods.
  • A well-groomed, disciplined personal presentation and a genuine commitment to operational excellence.
  • Candidates must be at least 23 years old.
