Role Overview
This position supports the commercial growth of a specialised medical equipment portfolio serving physiotherapy, rehabilitation, mobility, and orthopedic needs across Kenya. Based in Nairobi, the Assistant Sales Manager will manage existing healthcare client relationships while actively opening new business channels, ensuring revenue objectives are met through structured pipelines and close coordination with internal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop a defined territory of hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centres, building long-term trust with clinical and procurement stakeholders.
- Identify and convert fresh business opportunities within the physiotherapy, rehabilitation, mobility, and orthopedic product segments.
- Deliver on assigned sales and gross-profit targets through consistent account planning, product demonstrations, and consultative selling.
- Prepare accurate quotations, follow up on tenders and proposals, and drive each opportunity to a clear close.
- Maintain up-to-date sales pipelines and forecasting records to support management decisions and territory planning.
- Monitor payment status on assigned accounts, escalate collection issues, and support resolution with clients.
- Coordinate customer orders with supply chain, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Update all customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline data in Odoo or the approved CRM system without exception.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Three to five years of proven B2B sales experience, including a track record of expanding revenue within physiotherapy, rehabilitation, mobility, or orthopedic product lines.
- Full professional fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, Swahili, and English, with demonstrated ability to negotiate and build rapport across these languages.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and written reporting abilities, with comfort presenting to senior clinical and administrative decision makers.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts, quotations, and follow-up activities simultaneously.
- Valid driving licence and genuine willingness to travel regularly across Nairobi and other Kenyan regions as client needs require.
- Disciplined approach to CRM usage, forecasting accuracy, and sales process documentation.
