Job Description

Role Overview

In this hands-on accounting role, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions within a healthcare setting, focusing on billing, insurance claims, and reconciliations. Your work directly supports the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of the hospital, ensuring that funds are properly allocated and compliance standards are met. You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain clean financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and review patient billing statements, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission to insurance providers.
  • Reconcile insurance claim payments against billed amounts, investigating and resolving mismatches or denials.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles, including vendor invoices and patient payments.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations for assigned departments or cost centres.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor and update accounting system records to reflect adjustments, write-offs, or refunds.
  • Support cash flow analysis and budget tracking to identify variances or trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and payer requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised institution.
  • Minimum completion of CPA Part II (or equivalent progress toward professional certification).
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally within a hospital, clinic, or broader healthcare environment.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with accounting software (e.g., ERP, medical billing systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with insurance claim processes, payer reimbursements, and reconciliation workflows common in healthcare finance.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate financial data clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.

What We Offer / Why Join

This role provides an opportunity to develop specialised expertise in healthcare finance within a structured, mission‑driven environment. You will gain hands‑on exposure to the intersection of clinical operations and financial management, working alongside experienced professionals who value precision and collaboration.
