Humana is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant 3 to provide high-level administrative and operational support to multiple senior leaders in the Chicago region. The role requires a highly organized professional who can manage confidential information, coordinate complex schedules, and handle multiple priorities with limited supervision.
The successful candidate will prepare and proofread business documents, coordinate internal and external meetings, arrange travel, manage expenses, and maintain executive calendars. Although the position is remote, candidates must live in the Chicago area and be available to travel to the office when required for meetings or training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative and secretarial support to multiple senior leaders.
• Manage calendars, appointments, meetings, and scheduling requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, including travel arrangements and attendee expenses.
• Prepare, type, format, and proofread correspondence, contracts, reports, presentations, and other documents.
• Answer telephone calls, screen inquiries, and communicate with visitors and callers professionally.
• Maintain confidential information and follow HIPAA and privacy requirements.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing, office supplies, and administrative records.
• Compile information and prepare presentations using Microsoft Office applications.
• Prioritize administrative requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Use independent judgment to adapt administrative processes and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting senior leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience preparing presentations and compiling business data.
• Experience coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and expense management.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong ability to balance multiple initiatives and prioritize workload.
• Must live in the Chicago, Illinois region.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access is an advantage.
• Previous administrative or related experience is preferred.
• Experience with internet research and proofreading/editing is beneficial.
• Must have a suitable dedicated workspace for handling confidential information.
