Description:
Dubai Popcorn, a growing name in the FMCG and food manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled and detail-focused Accountant to join their team in the UAE. This role is ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience in accounting within manufacturing environments and possess strong expertise in inventory and cost management. Candidates currently residing in the UAE will be given priority.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded
• Prepare and present financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and collections
• Monitor inventory costing, stock movement, and maintain accurate inventory records
• Supervise cash collections from sales activities and delivery operations
• Perform reconciliation of cash, invoices, and delivery documentation on a regular basis
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws and assist in VAT-related processes
• Work closely with sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth financial coordination
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives to improve financial performance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG or food manufacturing industry
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Tally (Tally ERP or Tally Prime)
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost control processes
• Solid knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting tools
• Must be currently residing within the UAE
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in handling cash collection from orders and field sales operations
• Familiarity with managing driver collections and daily cash reconciliation processes
• Ability to track and manage credit versus cash sales effectively
