We are seeking a mature, detail-oriented, and reliable Accountant with at least 3 years of experience to join our team in the construction sector. Job Description
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and filings (VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, etc.)
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor project costs and provide cost control insights (construction-specific)
- Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting (construction industry experience is an added advantage)
- CPA (K) qualification or progress towards completion is preferred
- Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- High level of integrity, maturity, and professionalism
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
