Accountant

Role Overview

Paramount Zone, a Dubai-based firm focused on elevating business performance, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join immediately. In this role, you will maintain accurate financial records, manage reconciliations and closing processes, and support the finance team with reporting and ERP/Tally-based operations. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to make timely, confident financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, ensuring all cash movements are accurately matched and discrepancies are investigated.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding amounts.
• Maintain the general ledger with correct journal entries, allocations, and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis.
• Produce financial reports and schedules using advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and dashboards.
• Operate Tally or ERP systems to record transactions, generate reports, and improve data accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
• Assist with audits and ad-hoc financial analysis as required by management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar senior role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting requirements.
• Hands-on proficiency with Tally or other ERP systems for daily accounting operations.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF, XLOOKUP, and dashboard creation.
• Solid experience with bank reconciliation, AR/AP, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing.
• High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to coordinate across departments.
