Finance Manager

About Pearl Hospital

Pearl Hospital is a fast-growing multi-specialty private hospital committed to providing accessible, compassionate, affordable, and quality healthcare. As we continue to expand our services and operations, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to strengthen our finance function and support the hospital's next phase of growth.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Finance Manager will provide leadership of the finance function, ensuring sound financial management, accurate reporting, effective internal controls, regulatory compliance, and timely decision support. The successful candidate will supervise the finance team, including accountants and the payroll function, while driving continuous improvement across financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Reporting – Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor performance against budgets, and provide rolling forecasts to guide resource allocation.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance – Establish and maintain robust internal controls, ensure adherence to statutory requirements (tax, labor, regulatory), and coordinate external audits.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury – Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to maintain liquidity and optimize financial resources.
  • Payroll & Accounts – Supervise payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Decision Support – Provide financial analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and business insights to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Team Leadership – Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: CPA(K) Finalist or CPA(K) qualification.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Industry Preference: Experience in a busy private hospital or comparable healthcare organization is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, taxation, cash flow management, and statutory compliance.
  • Core Competencies: Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills; high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Added Advantage: Experience with hospital information systems, ERP/accounting software, and healthcare financing will be an added advantage.
