Head of Enterprise Technology Infrastructure

Job Purpose

To lead and modernize the bank’s enterprise technology infrastructure to ensure high availability, resilience, security, scalability, and performance of all IT platforms supporting business operations, digital banking channels, and future growth. The role is responsible for delivering a robust, secure, and future-ready infrastructure environment aligned with the bank’s transformation agenda and Tier-1 growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the infrastructure strategy to support business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of all enterprise IT platforms, including servers, storage, networks, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for critical banking systems and channels.
• Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures across the infrastructure landscape.
• Drive scalability and performance improvements to accommodate business growth and evolving digital services.
• Manage infrastructure budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes to optimize cost and quality.
• Lead a team of infrastructure professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate with other technology and business units to align infrastructure capabilities with strategic priorities.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Technology, Business, or a related discipline (added advantage).
• Professional certifications such as:
  • ITIL
  • Cloud Certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Cisco / Network Certifications
  • VMware / Virtualization Certifications
  • Information Security Certifications (advantage)

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience leading enterprise infrastructure operations, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of data center management, virtualization, cloud architecture, and networking technologies.
• Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to drive modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
