Job Description

Job Title: Electronics & Instrumentation Technician

We are seeking a skilled technician to install and maintain plant electronics and instrumentation to ensure reliable operation of machinery, plant, and equipment in factories, power stations, and other industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain instruments and electronic equipment used in tea processing, including weighbridges, portable weighing equipment, and online weighing systems such as weigh feeders and moisture analyzers.
  • Carry out installation and configuration of various automation devices, including VFDs, controllers, indicators, actuators, and recorders.
  • Interpret schematic drawings and implement installations as assigned.
  • Maintain hydro equipment, biogas systems, and diesel generators.
  • Maintain boiler control systems.
  • Repair domestic electronic equipment such as refrigerators, ovens, fryers, and televisions.
  • Undertake preventive and breakdown maintenance as assigned to reduce downtime for users.
  • Repair logging mechanization equipment, including automated log harvesters, automated log forwarders, automatic log splitters, and Hyundai equipment.
  • Comply with company Health & Safety systems, policies, reporting, and procedures within the electrical area and during all assignments.
  • Adhere to the HACCP plan and other plant regulations while performing the above duties.
  • Drive total compliance to Health & Safety systems, policies, reporting, and procedures within the workplace.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
  • Computer literate.
  • At least 3 years of experience in basic electrical installation and maintenance, with knowledge of instruments and power line maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of automation.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Must be a team player.
