Production Control Clerk / Service Writer

Job Summary
The Production Control Clerk is responsible for creating, updating, and performing data input of custom reports and information databases used for monitoring and inducting military and civilian equipment. This role works directly with the Production Control Supervisor and the Maintenance Manager.
Principal Accountabilities
- Input, update, and export information using GCSS-Army or a government-approved Logistics Information System (LIS).
- Perform accurate data entry and reporting for all vehicles assigned to the program, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Generate custom equipment tracking databases and spreadsheets.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to management.
- Create, update, and deliver reports to management.
- Support and participate in the Company Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and QA Program.
- Ensure all maintenance records are maintained in historical jackets and within the computerized maintenance management system (GCSS-ARMY) and other approved systems, including requests for disposition, classification, controlled exchange, and cannibalization documentation.
- Mentor and assist with on-the-job training and cross-training.
- Comply with all company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality standards, as well as applicable SOPs and DOPs.
- Interact favorably with internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Must understand and be able to use technical manuals.
- Field of expertise: Supply and maintenance interaction.
- Must be experienced in computer and office machine usage.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have two (2) years of hands-on experience in production control, to include administration and dispatching duties.
- Prefer training in Military Occupation CMF 92A Production Control MOS series or another military/commercial equivalent.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a military operator’s permit for each type of vehicle or equipment required to operate.
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
- Must be able to grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee, and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
- May be required to work more than 40 hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on occasion.
- Work conditions are normally those of a standard office environment where there is little physical discomfort.
