Accountant

A leading Automobile Equipment & Machinery Trading Company in the UAE is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Accounts / Manager Accounts to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, VAT & Corporate Tax compliance, inventory accounting, budgeting, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the company.
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation for machinery, equipment, and spare parts.
• Monitor customer credit limits, collections, and aging reports.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
• Ensure proper internal controls and adherence to company policies.
• Support management with financial analysis and business decision-making.
• Lead, train, and supervise the accounts team.
• Liaise with banks regarding facilities, guarantees, LC, and financing requirements.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent.
• ACCA / CPA / CMA (Qualified or Part Qualified preferred).
• Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in UAE trading companies.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.
• Experience in inventory accounting and trading business operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
