Talent Grid Africa is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading player in the chemical construction industry. Our client is committed to excellence in manufacturing and delivering high-quality construction chemicals, paints, coatings, adhesives, and cementitious products. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead their operations and quality control function.
Job Summary
We are looking for a results-driven Operations & Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in quality management systems, manufacturing operations, laboratory testing, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Control and Operations teams to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Oversee laboratory testing, raw material inspection, and in-process quality checks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and report to senior management.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on quality and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Strong understanding of construction chemicals, paints, coatings, adhesives, cementitious products, or related industries.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and laboratory equipment.
Compensation
Gross Salary: KES 350,000 per month (commensurate with experience).
