Description:
Alchemy is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals with a strong background in the construction, joinery, or interior fit-out sector who are capable of managing financial operations while supporting project profitability and business growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial records, project accounting activities, budgeting, cost control, accounts payable and receivable processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide accurate financial reporting to support management decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage project accounting activities and monitor project-related expenditures.
• Track project costs and budgets for joinery and interior fit-out projects.
• Prepare project cost reports and conduct variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Support management with financial insights and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of accounting experience within the construction, joinery, or fit-out industry.
• Strong understanding of project accounting and cost control principles.
• Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and statutory compliance requirements in the UAE.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
