Description:
A growing organization within the UAE contracting and construction sector is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to oversee financial operations and support strategic business decisions. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong expertise in project accounting, financial reporting, and commercial finance management within the construction industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring project performance, managing financial controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage multiple financial functions while contributing to organizational growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end accounting and finance operations across multiple projects and business functions.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, profitability, work-in-progress (WIP), and cash flow performance.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, MIS reports, and executive dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banking institutions, and regulatory authorities.
• Support tender evaluations, project costing exercises, budgeting processes, and financial planning activities.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls, financial governance frameworks, and risk management procedures.
Requirements:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant professional certification.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience within the contracting or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, WIP accounting, and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience managing UAE VAT compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, financial management, and problem-solving abilities.
