Description:
A leading organization is seeking an experienced Cloud and DevOps Engineer for a 6-month extendable contract based in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps practices, and production environment support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based solutions while supporting CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence. Candidates must be available for immediate joining and possess at least one of the required cloud architect certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure or AWS environments
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support real-time production systems
• Implement cloud security best practices and operational standards
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment processes
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management activities
• Support containerized environments and orchestration platforms
• Maintain system reliability, scalability, and performance
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• 6–10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure automation
• Experience implementing and maintaining cloud environments
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security
• Ability to troubleshoot and support live production systems
• Good understanding of networking, system administration, monitoring, and security concepts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Immediate availability preferred
Strong knowledge of:
• Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms
• Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
• Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies
• PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other scripting languages
• DevSecOps practices and security automation
Mandatory Certifications:
• Azure Solutions Architect Certification OR
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Azure Administrator Certification
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification (Additional)
• Kubernetes Certification
• Experience within banking, financial services, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and cloud security frameworks
