Job Overview
This is a hands-on, out-in-the-field marketing role built for someone who thrives at the intersection of content, culture, and nightlife. As a Digital Marketing Executive specializing in social media and Brand Promotions within the alcoholic beverages industry, you will own the brand's digital presence from the ground up — shooting content at bar nights, running influencer partnerships, activating at wine tastings and whisky masterclasses, and turning every event into compelling social media storytelling. Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Social Media Management
- Capture real-time content including photos, videos, Reels, TikToks, and live streams at events, tastings, and brand-sponsored bar nights
- Produce in-house content featuring staff picks, product highlights, and behind-the-scenes brand moments
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule with content that taps into current social media trends and platform algorithms
Influencer & Creator Management
- Identify, approach, and collaborate with local UGC creators and micro-influencers aligned with the brand's positioning
- Build and sustain relationships with food bloggers, wine bloggers, and lifestyle creators relevant to the alcoholic beverages space
- Manage end-to-end execution of influencer collaborations from briefing through to content delivery and performance review
Events & Brand Activations
- Plan and execute wine tastings, whisky masterclasses, and product launch events that drive brand awareness and consumer engagement
- Manage brand activations across bars, hotels, restaurants, retail outlets, and lifestyle events
- Scout and secure opportunities to sponsor or participate in local food and beverage festivals and industry events
Staff Engagement & Brand Advocacy
- Train and energize staff to confidently represent and communicate the brand during events and activations
- Guide and encourage staff to amplify brand messaging through their personal social media platforms where appropriate
Market Awareness & Brand Strategy
- Maintain a sharp pulse on social media trends, consumer behavior shifts, and competitive activity within the food and beverage sector
- Translate real-world market observations into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that sharpen brand presence and audience engagement
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Prior experience in alcoholic beverages, FMCG, or food and beverage marketing is strongly preferred
- An existing network within Nairobi's creator community, influencer space, bloggers, and hospitality venues is a major advantage
- Practical, proven experience in mobile content creation including photography and short-form video production
- Track record in event management and on-ground brand activations
- Natural relationship-builder with strong communication and people skills across diverse audiences
- Flexible availability to work evenings and weekends as required by the events calendar
- Self-starter mentality proactive, execution-focused, and comfortable owning deliverables independently
