Receptionist

Location: Utawala, Nairobi, Kenya

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our company, providing administrative support across the organization. You will handle the flow of people through the business and ensure that all receptionist responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Schedule appointments and update calendars.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers).
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Customer service attitude.
  • Diploma in Administration or related field.
  • Valid driving skills/licence is an added advantage
