Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct theoretical and practical lessons following the approved curriculum and competency-based standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, and facilitate skills lab demonstrations.
- Assess students through assignments, OSCEs, practical exams, and provide feedback.
- Prepare and supervise students during clinical placements, ensuring adherence to safety and professional standards.
- Support curriculum implementation, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements.
- Provide mentorship, academic guidance, and remedial support to students.
- Maintain records, submit reports, and participate in departmental activities and CPD sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Diploma in Community Health, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
- Training qualification (e.g., CBT/CBET Trainer of Trainers, Pedagogy Certificate, or TVET Trainer Certification).
- Valid practice license (e.g., NCK for nurses).
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years’ experience teaching in a TVET institution or clinical training environment.
- Experience with competency-based training, OSCEs, and curriculum delivery.
- Experience supervising students in clinical or hospital settings.
