Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in debt collection and supply of products/services, particularly within government institutions.
- Leverage existing networks to establish and grow strategic partnerships.
- Oversee and optimize debt collection processes to maximize recovery rates and portfolio performance.
- Lead high-level negotiations, contract structuring, and closure of large-scale agreements.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key institutional and corporate clients.
- Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform strategic positioning.
- Supervise and mentor commercial and collections teams to achieve performance targets.
- Prepare commercial forecasts, revenue projections, and management reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in commercial management or business development.
- Demonstrated experience generating business within government institutions.
- Strong understanding of debt recovery frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of closing high-value contracts.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Rich network within government and corporate sectors.
- Leadership and team management capability.
Salary: Ksh. 200,000 - Ksh. 300,000
