Role Overview
Deliver classroom and hands-on training in food and beverage, catering, or hospitality, helping trainees build practical skills and subject knowledge. The role also supports effective learning through assessment, well-organised training materials, and guidance that promotes trainees’ development and discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach theoretical concepts and practical skills within the relevant area of specialisation.
- Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, and teaching and learning materials.
- Keep accurate trainee records and assess trainees’ progress and performance.
- Look after tools and equipment, ensuring they are used appropriately and kept in good condition.
- Organise or participate in co-curricular activities.
- Promote trainee discipline and provide guidance and counselling where appropriate.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma in Food and Beverage, Catering, Hospitality, or an equivalent qualification.
- A certificate in an instructors’ course from the Kenya School of TVET or KTTC.
- A certificate in computer applications from a recognised institution.
