Role Overview
The Espresso Lab is seeking a Web Developer to build and support the web applications behind its digital services. You’ll work across front-end and back-end tasks, creating accessible, responsive experiences while improving application performance and connecting systems through APIs and CMS platforms where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, Laravel, and Python.
- Create responsive website interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for use across different devices.
- Work with MySQL to support application data and database-driven features.
- Review and improve site speed, reliability, and overall web performance.
- Integrate APIs and work with content management systems when project needs require them.
- Investigate technical issues, identify practical fixes, and check that changes work as intended.
- Pay close attention to usability, layout, and implementation details throughout development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Practical experience in front-end and/or back-end web development.
- Strong working knowledge of PHP, Laravel, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience building or maintaining applications with PHP frameworks and Python.
- Understanding of responsive design and techniques for improving web performance.
- CMS experience and API integration skills are advantageous.
- Good problem-solving ability and careful attention to detail.
