Role Overview

You’ll be the person keeping the warehouse floor moving from the moment goods arrive until the moment they leave. Day to day, you’ll coordinate receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch, while supervising a team of warehouse staff and making sure inventory records stay accurate. Your work directly supports the company’s supply chain, so your attention to detail and ability to keep operations smooth will have an immediate impact on delivery performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily warehouse activities across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and loading, adjusting priorities to meet shipment deadlines.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff: assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide on-the-job coaching to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Check incoming deliveries by verifying item counts and condition against purchase orders, and record all receipts accurately in the system.
• Oversee warehouse layout and storage organisation to maximize space, protect goods, and maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO where needed.
• Run regular cycle counts and full stock takes; investigate any discrepancies between physical stock and system records, and report findings clearly.
• Ensure every order is picked, packed, and labelled correctly, then dispatched on time without damaging goods in transit.
• Keep accurate documentation, including delivery notes, inventory movement records, and daily operational reports for management review.
• Enforce cleanliness, security, and health and safety standards across the facility; inspect equipment regularly and coordinate maintenance when needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of hands-on warehouse operations experience, with a proven track record in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Experience planning and distributing daily workloads among warehouse staff, including training, monitoring, and performance feedback.
• Solid knowledge of inventory control, stock counts, receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatch procedures.
• Practical experience using an ERP, Warehouse Management System (WMS), or similar inventory management platform.
• Strong Excel skills; you should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, producing reports, and analysing stock data.
• A good working understanding of occupational health and safety requirements in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and effective when under pressure.
