Warehouse Supervisor

Role Overview

This role is the control point for lubricants inventory in a depot warehouse, keeping stock records, equipment, and product movements aligned with company rules and customer expectations. It combines hands-on warehouse supervision with reporting discipline, equipment oversight, and coordination across dispatch, depot accounting, third-party drivers, and disposal agents. Success is measured by accurate stock positions, timely SAP-backed documentation, minimal NCP build-up, and safe, efficient loading and offloading.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all lubricants warehouse and yard activities so they align with company policies, safety expectations, and depot operating procedures.
• Produce daily, ten-day, and monthly stock position reports; keep stock cards, picking lists, and filing systems current, accurate, and audit-ready.
• Perform daily spot checks and meet stock reporting deadlines, escalating discrepancies or delays promptly.
• Monitor forklifts and other warehouse equipment, log periodic maintenance checks, report defects quickly, and promote efficient equipment use to reduce downtime.
• Coordinate truck loading and offloading to keep turnaround times tight and customer collections fairly scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis or per dispatch, depot accountant, or depot manager direction.
• Verify that every stock movement has proper, approved SAP documentation before release or receipt.
• Arrange returns of non-conforming products (NCPs) to appointed disposal agents, keeping NCP accumulation at the warehouse to a minimum.
• Lead or support decade, monthly, and quarterly stock takes, maintain good housekeeping across warehouse and yard, maximize space use, and run toolbox meetings for staff and third-party drivers.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
• Minimum two years in warehouse, depot, or stock-control operations.
• Working knowledge of petroleum products and inventory/stock management practices.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and work within SAP-driven stock movement controls.
• Supply chain or logistics training/experience is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills, with an integrity-driven and compliance-focused approach.
• Comfort coordinating with drivers, third-party service providers, and depot stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
