Role Overview
This lecturing position at PAC University centres on delivering high-quality instruction within an accredited university setting, where you will translate approved curriculum into engaging learning experiences for students. Working as part of an academic department, you will manage the full teaching cycle — from preparing materials and facilitating classes to assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records. Your contribution directly supports the institution's academic standards, student success, and compliance with national higher education and professional body requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for assigned course modules, ensuring each session aligns with the approved curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Develop and update teaching materials, including lesson plans, handouts, presentations, case studies, and e-learning resources, to reflect current industry and academic developments.
- Design and administer continuous assessment tests (CATs), assignments, and other formative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Set, moderate, and mark examinations in line with university and professional body standards, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and confidentiality throughout the process.
- Maintain complete and organised records of student attendance, assessment scores, and examination results, submitting them within required deadlines.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, including advising on study strategies, career pathways, and professional development opportunities.
- Invigilate examinations and support the administration of assessment schedules, including handling queries and discrepancies as they arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum review, quality assurance activities, and departmental meetings, contributing to continuous improvement of programmes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Master's degree in the relevant field from an accredited and recognised university.
- A Bachelor's degree with at least Upper Second-Class Honours from an accredited and recognised university, in a discipline relevant to the courses to be taught.
- Eligibility to register for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent doctoral programme.
- Current registration or clear eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body in your field.
- Strong command of written and spoken English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to students.
- Competence in using digital tools for teaching, assessment, and record-keeping, including learning management systems and standard office software.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in examination setting, marking, and meeting submission deadlines.
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring at university level would be an added advantage.
If you meet the above criteria, submit your application letter and a detailed Curriculum Vitae, stating your current and expected salary, by email only to [email protected]. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
