Role Overview
You will own the full lifecycle of an enterprise ICT product, balancing day-to-day operational stability with forward-looking evolution. Working inside an Agile structure, you will translate business needs into a clear, prioritized backlog and keep technical decisions coherent across internal teams and external partners. Your work directly supports humanitarian operations, ensuring that critical technology services remain reliable, secure, and aligned with broader strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate business requirements and set the direction for the technology stack within your product area, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and infrastructure standards.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog across both build and run activities, defining not just what the delivery team should build but also the rationale behind each priority.
- Monitor product performance continuously, proactively addressing issues related to stability, security, scalability, and upgradeability before they affect end users.
- Act as an active member of the Agile product team, participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and championing Agile best practices.
- Drive delivery of milestones agreed with the Product Line Lead, ensuring the product meets both functional and non-functional requirements throughout its lifecycle.
- Manage resource allocation at the product level, including oversight of any external contractors or vendors contributing to delivery.
- Use data and performance metrics to inform decisions, replacing assumptions with evidence when setting priorities and evaluating trade-offs.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager, Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, business stakeholders, and peer Product Owners to align delivery outcomes with the broader product line strategy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT Management, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated professional experience).
- At least five years in a Product Owner role or a comparable position managing enterprise software products.
- Proven experience managing, integrating, and supporting enterprise-grade technology solutions across their full lifecycle—from design and implementation to ongoing operations.
- Strong grasp of software development processes, system deployment, and Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
- Agile certification is a plus; however, training and coaching will be provided to the right candidate.
- Familiarity with Frappe (the open-source ERP/web framework) is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of digital transformation, enterprise architecture principles, and emerging technology trends.
- Excellent command of English or French; additional languages are an asset.
What We Offer / Why Join
- A multicultural, humanitarian-minded work environment where your efforts directly support the protection of conflict victims worldwide.
- Access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities to strengthen your product ownership and Agile skills.
- A flexible work schedule that supports a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal life.
