Job Description

Role Overview

This role drives the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of talent management, from sourcing and onboarding through performance reviews and professional development. The person in this position ensures that HR systems—like the applicant tracker and HRMIS—are used effectively to streamline processes and produce real-time data for smarter decisions. By aligning recruitment, learning, and performance practices with the organisation’s strategic goals, this role directly impacts workforce quality, retention, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and offer management, while maximising the Applicant Tracking System to speed up hiring and improve candidate quality.
  • Design and refine onboarding programmes so that new hires integrate smoothly and understand the company culture from day one.
  • Oversee the performance management system, ensuring regular reviews, clear goal-setting, and accountability across all departments.
  • Lead training needs analysis and coordinate learning initiatives—workshops, e-learning, certifications—that build skills and support career progression.
  • Supervise the talent and HR systems team, providing coaching and setting priorities to maintain high service standards.
  • Serve as the link between HR, IT, and external vendors to keep HR systems running reliably, troubleshoot issues, and roll out upgrades or new modules.
  • Drive user adoption of HR platforms by delivering training, writing guides, and managing change communication.
  • Produce workforce analytics and dashboards that reveal trends in turnover, time-to-hire, training effectiveness, and compliance, then recommend actions based on the data.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field from an accredited university.
  • At least eight years of broad HR experience (generalist or specialist), with a minimum of four years at a management level focused on talent management within a well-regarded organisation.
  • Full professional certification: CHRP-K, SHRM, or CIPD.
  • Active membership in IHRM (Institute of Human Resource Management) or equivalent body.
  • Proven experience implementing and improving HR technology—such as ATS, HRMIS, or learning management systems—to support talent processes.
  • A certificate in leadership or management from a recognised institution.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver accurate, insightful work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to build and motivate diverse teams, delegate effectively, and collaborate across departments.
