Job Description

Role Overview

This position sits within the Group Talent Acquisition team and is focused on proactively finding and engaging candidates rather than waiting for applications to arrive. You will spend your time researching talent markets, mapping competitor organisations, building pipelines for hard-to-fill and senior roles, and using recruitment data to guide where sourcing efforts should be directed next. Your work will directly influence how quickly the Group fills vacancies, how well candidates match role requirements, and how consistently the recruitment process runs across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, professional communities, referrals, and AI-enabled sourcing tools to identify and approach both active and passive candidates for specialist, technical, and leadership positions.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines aligned with current openings and anticipated future hiring needs across the Group, updating them regularly as market conditions and role requirements evolve.
  • Carry out market mapping exercises to document where relevant talent sits within competitor organisations and adjacent industries, turning that information into clear target lists and engagement strategies.
  • Screen candidate profiles and conduct initial phone or video conversations to evaluate experience, motivation, notice period, and role fit before presenting well-structured longlists and shortlists to hiring managers.
  • Own recruitment reporting, including vacancy status updates, time-to-fill tracking, source effectiveness metrics, and pipeline conversion rates, and translate those numbers into practical recommendations for improving hiring outcomes.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager, HR teams, and hiring managers to clarify job requirements, align on sourcing strategies, and keep candidates and stakeholders informed throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment tools, processes, and candidate experience by identifying pain points, testing new approaches, and supporting the rollout of approved platforms.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment assignments for a portfolio of roles, ensuring no candidate or stakeholder is left waiting and that every step of the process is logged accurately in the recruitment system.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least five years of proven experience in talent acquisition, recruitment consulting, or executive search, ideally within an agency, search firm, or a fast-paced in-house environment that relies on proactive sourcing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or a related field; certifications in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR analytics, or similar disciplines are considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated skill in direct sourcing and engaging passive candidates, with the ability to quickly build rapport and interest for roles that are not advertised or difficult to fill.
  • Hands-on experience conducting market mapping, talent research, and competitor intelligence to support recruitment strategies for specialised, technical, and management-level positions.
  • Strong proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other digital sourcing platforms, plus comfort using recruitment data and analytics to measure performance and inform future decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to discuss hiring needs with HR colleagues and hiring managers across multiple countries or business units.
  • A proactive, research-driven mindset that enjoys solving talent puzzles, working under pressure, and keeping accurate records while managing multiple live vacancies at once.
