Supervisor Assistant

Role Overview

The Supervisor Assistant helps keep daily warehouse shifts on track, coordinating staff and monitoring inbound, picking, and packing work in a fast-moving e-commerce operation in Dubai. By addressing floor-level issues early and maintaining safe, organised processes, this role supports service targets and prepares an experienced team lead for greater supervisory responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Run pre-shift briefings, communicate priorities and targets, and allocate work across the team.
• Track inbound, picking, and packing progress during the shift, responding when work falls behind plan.
• Adjust staffing and task assignments as volumes change to help meet service-level commitments.
• Investigate operational disruptions such as stock shortages, picking errors, equipment faults, or WMS issues, and coordinate practical resolutions.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and attention to stock movement and location practices.
• Keep work areas orderly by reinforcing 5S practices, effective slotting, and clear aisles.
• Coordinate attendance and shift schedules, and maintain records of task allocation and team performance.
• Promote safe working practices, including correct PPE use, safe forklift-zone conduct, secure racking, accessible exits, and up-to-date training and certifications.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in e-commerce or logistics warehousing, including at least one year as a team lead or shift lead.
• Practical knowledge of warehouse picking, packing, inbound operations, and cycle counting.
• Working familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate and guide warehouse staff in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
• Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement when priorities shift.
• Knowledge of inventory processes, shift supervision, warehouse safety procedures, and operational standards.
