Role Overview
This position is central to ensuring that every student throughout the CHANCEN programme has a smooth onboarding experience and receives ongoing, personalised support. Day to day, you will manage the entire application and contract-signing process, address queries from applicants and their guardians, and conduct campus visits to monitor student progress, reinforce programme values, and resolve any academic or behavioural concerns. Your work directly contributes to student retention, community trust, and the overall effectiveness of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead information sessions, workshops, and guardian meetings at partner educational institutions to explain the Income Share Agreement (ISA) model and guide applicants through the contracting process using CHANCEN’s digital platforms.
- Manage the signing of ISA contracts between CHANCEN and applicants, as well as separate agreements with guardians or guarantors, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Respond promptly to all incoming queries from applicants, guardians, and other stakeholders; maintain a centralised database of frequently asked questions and answers to improve response efficiency.
- Create and update presentation materials and content for onboarding meetings, tailoring them to different audiences (students, parents, guardians).
- Assist students in opening bank accounts during onboarding sessions and coordinate outreach visits to meet guardians and students in their local communities to build relationships and trust.
- Prepare and circulate feedback reports after each onboarding session, using insights to refine the customer experience and processes.
- Plan and conduct regular student monitoring activities focused on CHANCEN values, personal and professional development, and financial literacy; review progress reports for students who are failing or not completing trimester activities, then recommend next steps.
- Assess disciplinary cases involving breaches of programme rules or values, update the complaints and queries register weekly, and conduct campus visits to engage members and address any concerns.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a closely related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in youth programming, student admissions, or similar roles that involve direct engagement with students and their families.
- Proven ability to present to and interact with large, diverse audiences clearly and confidently.
- Strong organisational skills and close attention to detail when managing documents, records, and multiple concurrent processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and report-writing.
- Familiarity with the higher education landscape (preferred).
- Experience working at a university, college, NGO, or student financing organisation is a strong advantage.
