Role: Storage & Backup Administrator (L2)
Exp: 5+Years
Location: Dubai
- Manage and administer enterprise storage systems (EMC, HP, IBM SAN environments).
- Handle backup technologies including Networker, Veeam, Commvault, and NetBackup.
- Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of backup failures.
- Configure and maintain SAN switches, FC zoning, and storage volumes.
- Execute data replication activities and support Disaster Recovery (DR) operations.
- Monitor storage performance and identify bottlenecks for optimization.
- Manage storage snapshots, recovery processes, and LUN configurations.
- Maintain and upgrade storage hardware (Dell EMC Unity, HP 3PAR, IBM systems).
- Support tape library operations and backup media management.
- Ensure system scalability through capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with DBAs and operations teams for optimal storage utilization.
- Maintain documentation for storage, backup configurations, and procedures.
- Implement data security policies and ensure safe storage practices.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware support and issue resolution.
- Provide 24/7 support for critical incidents and ensure business continuity.
