Job Summary
The Stock Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the total integrity of our inventory across various retail outlets. This role involves frequent site visits to conduct physical counts, reconcile data against ERP systems, and investigate variances. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can move beyond simple counting to provide deep analysis on stock aging, movement patterns, and process improvements to minimize loss and optimize stock levels.
Core Work Functions
Inventory Verification & Field Audits

Conduct routine and surprise physical stock counts at all retail locations to ensure policy adherence.

Validate system-based inventory records against actual physical presence.

Investigate the root causes of stock variances and implement corrective measures.

Maintain clear, systematic documentation of all audit findings and discrepancies.
Data Analytics & Strategic Reporting

Evaluate stock movement patterns to categorize items as fast-moving, slow-moving, or obsolete.

Generate comprehensive periodic reports, including variance analysis and stock aging summaries.

Provide the procurement and operations teams with data-driven recommendations for stock allocation.

Utilize ERP and inventory management tools to track stock integrity and movement history.
Optimization & Loss Prevention

Monitor minimum and maximum inventory thresholds for each store to prevent stock-outs or excessive holdings.

Assess current stock management procedures and suggest enhancements to boost efficiency.

Oversee the accuracy of stock transfers between branches to ensure no data is lost during transit.

Train on-site staff on best practices for record-keeping and inventory handling.
Inter-Departmental Synergy

Collaborate with Finance and Operations to resolve complex stock-related investigations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external inventory audits.

Support the procurement cycle by providing accurate data on replenishment needs.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Professional Background

Education: Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Accounting.

Experience: Previous exposure to inventory management, stock auditing, or retail operations is a distinct advantage.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with automated inventory systems.
