About the Role
Are you passionate about wellness and creating memorable guest experiences? We are looking for a skilled, professional, and guest-focused Spa Therapist to join our Spa & Wellness team at JW Marriott Nairobi. In this role, you will deliver exceptional spa treatments, promote relaxation and wellbeing, and ensure each guest enjoys a personalized and rejuvenating experience in line with our luxury standards.
Your expertise, warm hospitality, and commitment to service excellence will help create an unforgettable wellness journey for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of spa treatments including massages, facials, body wraps, and scrubs to the highest professional standards.
- Greet and consult with guests to assess their needs, preferences, and any health considerations before each treatment.
- Customize treatments to deliver a personalized experience that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment room in compliance with hygiene and safety protocols.
- Promote spa packages, retail products, and additional services to enhance the guest's wellness journey.
- Assist with guest check-in, tour of facilities, and post-treatment follow-up to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Spa & Wellness team to uphold JW Marriott’s luxury service culture and brand standards.
- Stay updated on new treatment techniques, product knowledge, and industry trends.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid certification or diploma in beauty therapy, holistic spa therapy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional spa therapist experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Proven expertise in a variety of massage and body treatment modalities (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, facials).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, guest-focused demeanor.
- Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism when handling guest preferences and health information.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
